What does "Err'thang About Ya" even mean?

I one hundred percent doubt people will give this goofy titled book a chance...but hear me out!

I'm college educated with two degrees. I have been writing since I was twelve and have taken multiple writing classes. I know grammar. Do I talk perfect English every single day? No.

There is a way we talk here in St. Louis we call "Country Grammar" that Nelly dubbed from the album with that name. We add emphasis on the R's in words like err'body (everybody), err'time (every time), HuRR (here or hair), ThuRR (there) just to name a few.

In my contemporary romance, Err'thang About Ya, it's a sating the main male character says to love interest. And as a rapper, he is not going to talk proper. Not at all. There is more slang in the book. There are songs in the book that may not make sense to a reader that is not into hip hop. Skip the songs. It won't change the story much.

There were many times I wanted to change the title. There were many times I didn't want to share the title of the book with anyone. But...I had to get over it. The title is a reflection of the story. So I hope readers look past the grammatically altered title and find a great love story.
